New year, new "About Me". My previous write up was up here for almost 3 years and was just a tad bitter about my artshow rejection of 2009. I'm over it now (mostly).
Painting is a part of who I am. I can't not paint. It is part of me and spills into everything I do. Literally. I frequently find new places I've gotten paint. My ear. My bed. My winter jacket. My camera. One time I went to shower and it was on my leg inside my pants, but not on my pants. That makes no sense. And I have no idea how it gets there, but it does.
I've learned to live with it and just accept that things I own will be damaged, marked, and stained. And to be honest, I kind of like it. I love my Canon 7d. I love it more with the purple paint on the base and lens. It's clearly mine and it shows my passion is spilling over into all parts of my life.
That's ultimately what I want. I want painting to invade all aspects of my life, to be my life. That's what 2013 is going to be about, back to creating. The amount of my artwork that helps make other people houses homes is so cool. I want to expand that. I want to keep doing that, and use my art to make the world a better place.
One painting at a time.
Also, in case you were wondering what my other talents are, I can seriously pour ice tea and hold two italian ices next to my face while looking adorable. I also work in Insurance. And own dresses. Lots of dresses. Yay!
And, and, I really like karaoke and have a candy addiction I am working to overcome. And I did 110 pushups one time and a 4 minute 15 second plank. What what!
